Everything to keep your steel door in top condition
Use them
How do you make your steel door shine?
Our doors are designed for daily use and can take a beating. But with a few simple points of attention, they will remain at their best:
- Avoid hard knocks or contact with sharp objects.
- Never use aggressive cleaning agents (such as bleach or abrasive cleaners).
- Do not leave paint, sealants, cleaning products or construction dust on the steel for long periods; this can affect the finish.
- Never spray cleaning agents directly onto the glass; use a soft cloth.
Rule of thumb:
Live your life as you wish, but treat your steel door as a stylish design piece.
Store them (during renovation or relocation)
Steel doors remain at their best when properly protected during storage or installation:
- Always store doors upright, not flat.
- Ensure they remain bone dry and avoid damp areas.
- Keep glass protected with the original packaging.
- Do not leave doors unsecured on a construction site.
Good preparation prevents unnecessary damage.
Clean them
How do you best clean and maintain a steel door?
Fortunately, it's simple:
- Use a soft microfiber cloth for both glass and steel.
- Clean with lukewarm water and a mild cleaning agent.
- Always dry thoroughly to prevent streaks.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, bleach, or alcohol-based agents.
- Occasionally check hinges and handles for looseness; just tighten them and you're done.
Small effort, big effect!
